Elaine says Obama is voteworthy

Fri May 02, 2008 at 09:06:57 PM PDT

The Women's Voices Women Vote story has been very interesting. It highlights how the blogosphere can be very effective at burrowing down into the important details of an issue.

One minor part of the story was the WVWV video where Julia Louis-Dreyfus is seen walking through a replica of the Oval Office and talking about how great it would be to have more women in politics.

I'm a big fan of Julia's, and I didn't like seeing her drawn into this debate. But more importantly, she has now commented on who she is endorsing, and she endorses Obama! :)

...there have been reports about WVWV which questioned the intention behind my PSA and which candidate I am endorsing for president. For the record, I am proudly supporting Senator Barack Obama. (emphasis in original)

I hadn't seen this diaried yet:

A key witness to the character of Judge Samuel A. Alito has been removed from the Senate Judiciary Committee Democrats' testimony list, FOXNews.com has learned.

Stephen R. Dujack, editor of The Environmental Forum magazine and fellow Princeton University alumnus, was expected to testify about a controversial student organization that counted Alito as a member. Dujack confirmed to FOXNews.com late Friday that he was no longer testifying, but said he could not elaborate.

Well I don't like this! I hope the Democrats force a discussion of the disgusting Concerned Alumni of Princeton group that Alito belonged to.

Ohio Provisional Ballot Ruling Reversed

A federal appeals court on Saturday ruled to reverse a lower court's ruling that Ohio voters could cast provisional ballots on Election Day anywhere in the county in which they are registered.

The 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that a provisional ballot cast outside a voter's home precinct isn't valid, agreeing with Ohio Secretary of State Kenneth Blackwell.
