Well you better think again! The evangelicals are decending on the Superbowl to convert you to their brand of christianity. Here is the report from ABC News: <iJACKSONVILLE, Fla., Feb. 4, 2004 -- The Super Bowl is not usually considered a spiritual experience. But Baptist minister David Garrett -- who heads the Jacksonville Baptist Association's Super Bowl Ministry -- believes the game offers a prime opportunity for evangelizing.</i>
Howard Dean may not be as liberal as he appeared in the primaries, but in 1,001 ways - from his secularism to his stridency - he embodies the newly dominant educated class, which is large, self-contained and assertive.
Thanks to this newly dominant group, the Democrats are sure to carry Berkeley for decades to come.
The name of this agency is Chicago House. This non-profit group has been providing help and services to folks living with HIV/AIDS since 1985. Many of the clients served are LGBT but many more identify as "straight". They offer housing for the sick and case management for people living on their own.
For John Kerry and his supporters, election 2004 turned out to be a bitter reminder of just how divided the United States has become since George W. Bush assumed the presidency in 2000. The writing was on the wall in mid- October when a major new service provider described Mr. Kerry as "Trolling for votes" in the rural mid-west on his quest for the presidency.
And for what?
NOTHING - I hate to say it but nothing (except oil). When I hear the W.H. assholes lie to the American people to proclaim that these troops are protecting our "American Way of Life" and "Freedom" I want to throw a brick through the T.V.
I love our troops and am so proud of them - but I hate what this adminstration has done to them and their famillies.
Last week two of my students died in Iraq (I teach at a military university).
Sorry for the rant but to see these kids dying off like flies because of Bush's ignorance and greed is immoral.

Bush campaign manager Ken Mehlman is reportedly a likely candidate for the job of head of the Republican party. There have been lots of questions about Mehlman's sexual orientation, and he won't answer. I for one think the public has a right to know Ken Mehlman's sexual orientation BEFORE he gets that job. And here's why...

CLINTON, N.Y. - Former President Clinton, noting an "astonishing turnout among evangelical Christians" in this year's election, warned Tuesday that Democrats "cannot be nationally competitive when we don't feel comfortable talking about our convictions."
Liberal Radio Coming To Town

Churchill Communications LLC, the broadcast company that went live last Thursday with the region's first 24/7 Hispanic radio format, will score another milestone come Wednesday morning: the Eugene-Springfield premier of liberal-leaning Air America Radio, led by satirist and writer Al Franken.

AND....
In New York during April, its first month on the air, Air America attracted more listeners in the 25-to-54-year-old demographic from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. than did WABC, where the popular Limbaugh is heard. Air America also beat WABC among the 18-to-34-year-old group. That's specifically intriguing to many in the business because talk radio typically draws an older audience."

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- After the first hours of a two-week vote recount, Democrats claimed Monday that their candidate for the state Senate from Yonkers had wiped out almost all of her unofficial deficit and moved within 288 votes of the powerful Republican incumbent, Nicholas Spano.
I would like to set the website up that urges folks to sign petitions on a statewide basis for ballot initiatives to ban divorce. The reason?
According to the Evangelicals, the "scourge" of homosexuality is often attributed to broken homes where only a single parent exists. Using Evangelical logic, it stands to reason that we can nip this "gay" problem in the bud by stopping it at its root. Who knows, you may even have some fundies who go out and actually collect signatures.
It would be a simple website with a cross and basic text to get the petitions going. Of course, my real goal would be to garner media attention to create a backlash. . My hope will be that people will begin to ask: "When will the government stay out of the marriage business".
I am being very serious by the way - I came up with this little gem last night. I need your thoughts.
Today I am wondering out loud what this son of a bitch is doing? I am wondering what joy this fat fucker got from lying to the American public and being an unofficial arm of the BC04 campaign.
I want to take action against this man - I want him to suffer like the rest of us for helping to put the misleader back into the White House.
Yes I am angry so please forgive me. I just needed to vent. It is hard to accept this new reality.
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites) will renew a quest in his second term for a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage as essential to a "hopeful and decent" society, his top political aide said on Sunday.

"Voter Interference" works
"Freedom to Vote" Violated
BUT please let's be careful about calling it fraud because others will see our cause as tin-foil hate, "Crybaby stuff". When you relate it to people personally in ways that effect them, it sells.
We need to be writing the investigative units conducting this work to use the right terminlology or we are going to look like freaks!
We really need to increase our numbers in the senate and Dean would be a near shoe in for this seat. Plus, he could be yet another progressive voice for us in a way that really matters.
Thoughts?
