Two Seconds Out of Seven Minutes

Sat Sep 04, 2004 at 12:26:55 PM PDT

This is my first diary post, and to write it I am pulling my tinfoil hat down tight around my ears, mainly so that I won't hear the heckling from the cheap seats.

Although... A recent Zogby poll showed that half of New York City residents and 41% of New York citizens overall believe that some U.S. leaders "knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act." So I guess I'm not completely alone here.

Those of you who have seen Fahrenheit 911 are well aware of the infamous 7 minutes in which Dubya sat twiddling his thumbs and reading My Pet Goat while all heck was breaking loose in the country. According to the official story, George W. was informed of the second plane hitting the WTC by Andrew Card, who supposedly whispered, "A second plane hit the second tower. America is under attack."
